Former West Ham striker Dean Ashton is confident Chelsea won't be caught short if Thibaut Courtois leaves this summer.

The Belgium goalkeeper continues to be linked with Real Madrid.

But Ashton told Sky Sports: “I think if you can bring Alisson in, I wouldn't be worried.

“I think Courtois is a great goalkeeper, but at the moment I see that there is enough quality goalkeepers out there to replace Courtois."

Reports have claimed Roma No1 Alisson could cost as much as £80million.

Alisson has made 37 Serie A appearances and has collected 31 caps for his country.
