Ashley Young insists Man Utd winning run will arrive

Manchester United winger Ashley Young is adamant they'll start putting wins together.

While league results of late have been frustrating, the Reds have produced some impressive displays without gaining the rewards. Nevertheless, Young hopes the Europa League group-stage success can inspire good results in domestic games, starting today against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

"It's a massive boost," he declared in an interview with ManUtd.com when asked about the impact of reaching the last 32. "To get through the way we did given we started the campaign with a disappointing result is pleasing. We bounced back from that and got ourselves qualified and we look forward to the next round now.

"It's going to be a big test against Tottenham. They have been doing well of late and we know it's always tough when they come to Old Trafford, but off the back of the Europa League win, our confidence is up and I'm sure we can go out there and perform in the way we've shown in the last few weeks.

"You've seen how we've been playing - we're disappointed with the draws we've had but the performances are there and you can see the results are coming. Hopefully that will happen against Tottenham and a result can kick start us as we go into Christmas."
