Ashley to attend Newcastle clash without special security

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley will be present at St James' Park tomorrow - without any special security.

The Sun says Newcastle United's owner is being advised by pals to face up to fuming Geordies still seething at the treatment of former boss Kevin Keegan.

Northumbria Police are sending extra officers on to the streets to deal with planned protests before and after the clash with Hull at St James' Park.

But a police source said: "We have not advised Mike Ashley or Dennis Wise that they'll need extra security."
