Asamoah Gyan: Sunderland great challenge for me
Former Rennes striker Asamoah Gyan is excited about his move to Sunderland.
Gyan, who made a £13.5million switch from French club Rennes, insisted he is now over his World Cup heartache with Ghana.
He declared: "You have to be strong and move on. It was a major, major disappointment for me but that's in the past now.
"I have to concentrate on the positives, I had a good tournament, I've kept mentally strong and I'm looking forward to the future challenge with Sunderland."
Gyan, 24, will partner Darren Bent up front - the England hitman was Sunderland's previous record buy at £10m.
