Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta was proud to be their matchwinner against Manchester City.

Arteta took the scoring load off Robin van Persie to hit a late winner on Sunday.

He told arsenal.com: "Robin [van Persie] has been creating goals for other players. As long as we keep winning, that's the most important thing. We are also keeping clean sheets as well which is important from now until the end of the season.

"Everybody likes to score a goal and I'm no different. When Robin scores three then I'm happy as well because we win the game. But this goal [against Man City] was special and it won the game."
