Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal can achieve Champions League glory this season.
He has targeted the Champions League as the competition to cheer Arsenal's disappointed and trophy-hungry fans.
Ahead of today's last-16 draw in Nyon, the Spanish playmaker said: "The club has gone through a lot in the last couple of months, the fans have been disappointed and need something to look forward to.
"We won't forget about the Premier League but the Champions League can provide that extra something that gives everyone a lift.
"The new players have fitted in really well. I've been pleasantly surprised, in a few months I've made some good friends. I'm getting on well with Yossi Benayoun, who I knew already, and Per Mertesacker is a great guy."
