Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Andrei Arshavin has arrived in England last night ahead of his move to Arsenal.

The two clubs are still thrashing out the terms of the deal with less than 10 hours to go in the transfer window, but Arshavin is in place should the green light be given.

He arrived in England on a private jet on Sunday and spent the evening in a Hertfordshire hotel.

The hotel is less than 15 minutes from where any medical would be carried out.
