Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere hopes Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes is named in today's England squad.

Wilshere also feels Roy Hodgson would do well to try to entice Paul Scholes out of international retirement to be part of the squad for Poland and Ukraine.

"I would love to play with Scholes," he told talkSPORT. "When I was growing up, he was one of the best midfielders in the country, and he still is.

"I'm sure the young players would all look up to him so it would be a good move if he did come out of retirement."
