The Sun says Toure has become increasingly upset with what he sees as manager Arsene Wenger's favourable treatment of fellow defender William Gallas.

Toure, on £2.6million a year, plans to make it clear he will no longer play second fiddle to £4m-a-year Gallas.

Along with other Arsenal stars, he believes Gallas' lack of leadership was instrumental in their collapse in the title race and Champions League.

Now he wants reassurances from boss Wenger his contribution is appreciated.
