Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey was outstanding for Wales in their 3-0 friendly victory over Scotland.

The damage was done in the first half when Arsenal teenager - and man of the match - Aaron Ramsey played a part in goals for David Edwards and Simon Church, as well as grabbing a superb goal of his own.

Wales coach John Toshack said: "I thought the Scots had the better of the early exchanges.

"He (George Burley) will have felt hard done by coming in 3-0 down and I can sympathise with him on that score.

"Over the 90 minutes we shaded it but maybe 3-0 was a little bit of an exaggeration."
