Wolfsburg are favourites to land Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann next month.
The People says the keeper told Germany coach Joachim Loew he is desperate for an international swansong in both Austria and Switzerland next summer and is ready to move back to Germany with Wolfsburg.
The Bundesliga club, funded by car giants Volkswagen, will ensure that Lehmann does not have to take a major cut in the £40,000 a week he pockets at Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will not stand in Lehmann's way and will allow him to leave for a nominal transfer fee.
