Arsenal's Hoyte wants Emirates stay

Hoyte is a peripheral figure at the Emirates making only two league starts last season and being used largely in the Carling Cup.

Yet despite this the youngster has revealed he is willing to fight for his place under Arsene Wenger.

Seeking to quash rumours that he is to leave North London, with Aston Villa one potential destination, Hoyte said: "There are rumours every day but I am contracted to Arsenal."

Hoyte revealed that Arsene Wenger had suggested he has a future at the Emirates.

"The boss has said great things about me, has good plans for me and I need to show him what I am capable of."
