Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva says their FA Cup humiliation at Manchester United can work in their favour against AC Milan this week.

The Brazilian said: "If you look at United, they had a bad result against Man City, a big disappointment to them. But they came back very strong in this game against us.

"It is the same for us. We will come back even stronger, starting in the Champions League against Milan, because we don't want to let the opportunities pass us by this season.

"Was the Milan game a distraction? No, not really. Everyone looks forward to big games and United was a big game. Now, we can do nothing about this game and we must concentrate on Milan and try to put this result behind us and perform better.

"Of course, everyone is disappointed. This is not the result we wanted. We must learn from our mistakes and not let this happen again."
