Arsenal winger Kieran Gibbs is looking forward to another chance in the Carling Cup.
"I was very pleased to play. It has been a long journey so far. My first academy was Wimbledon. I was there till I was about 13 until they moved to Milton Keynes. I did not want to do the travelling or move away so young. Lucky I got scouted in a match by Arsenal and I signed as a scholar. I worked my way through, signed my professional contract a year early then just kept playing with the Reserves and in Youth Cup."
Gibbs has been dubbed "a little Ryan Giggs" by Arsene Wenger and he showed little of the Welshman's ingenuity with a raking ball forward for Eduardo to score Arsenal's second in the 50th minute.
"The boss has said that before and it is such a compliment," smiled Gibbs. "He's a player who has done so much. I'll take that into games and it will give me confidence.
"As for the pass, I just looked up and saw him in a great position. It was just a matter of putting it through then he took a touch and scored."
