Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva has reacted to the ongoing confusion surrounding comments attributed to him in the aftermath of his injury a fortnight ago at Birmingham.

The Brazilian-born Croatia international has issued an angry response to newspaper reports last week which claimed he had confirmed Martin Taylor visited him in hospital.

"The story about Taylor visiting me was an invention - as was my 'interview' in the English press," he was quoted as saying on Croatian television by the Sunday Mirror.
