Arsenal's Eduardo sued by wife's uncle

Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva is being sued for around £950,000 by his wife's uncle over an unpaid transfer commission involving his move from Dinamo Zagreb.

The Telegraph says according to reports in Croatia, Miljenko Radivojevic claims that Eduardo, currently recovering from a career-threatening leg fracture suffered in February, has failed to honour a "working contract" they both signed in 2003.

The amount Radivojevic says his nephew owes him represents 10 per cent of the transfer fee when the Brazilian-born Croatia forward moved from Dinamo Zagreb to Arsenal.

Eduardo has already begun legal proceedings against his relative, accusing him of acting as an "impostor". Eduardo's lawyer, Miroslav Separovic, says the player and his wife are very concerned. "They can't understand that someone's trying to take advantage of the transfer," said Separovic, ''especially someone who has done nothing for them, aside from buying him a pair of trainers."
