Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue says he remains close to Ivory Coast teammate Kolo Toure, now the Manchester City captain.
"We play on the 10th in Malawi - a draw would see us qualify for the World Cup," Eboue told the Official Matchday Programme.
"I believe in our team, we're very focused and to be in an African World Cup would mean so much.
"Of course it'll be nice to team up with Kolo again, too - we talk all the time, in fact he called me before the Olympiacos game to wish me luck. He's a friend, like a brother, and even though he's left Arsenal we do not forget each other."
