Abou Diaby is keen to avoid comparisons with former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.

Diaby said: "I am very different from Patrick - the only common point we have is that I am tall like him and maybe physically similar.

"I am maybe more offensive than him. I do like that position behind the striker -particularly when I was at Auxerre I used to play in that kind of role."
