Arsenal signing Andrei Arshavin has taunted Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko after Sunday's 0-0 draw.
Arshavin, an unused substitute, saw his Arsenal team-mates hold on for a goalless draw at White Hart Lane - despite playing most of the game with 10 men following Emmanuel Eboue's sending off.
And the £12million signing from Zenit St Petersburg was delighted to see Tottenham striker Pavlyuchenko sky a first-half chance to open the scoring.
"Roman had the chance to bury our team," said the 27-year-old. "But he did not take his chance. In general, however, I believe that he has fully adapted to the English game."
The match was billed the Russian derby in his homeland, with a St Petersburg versus Moscow rivalry because of Pavlyuchenko's connection with Spartak.
"I was told that in St Petersburg there were many people cheering for Arsenal.
"In London there is a great rivalry. At the stadium I felt the negative and sometimes harsh treatment towards us from the Tottenham fans."
