Arsenal teenage fullback Jon Toral was sporting an ugly shiner after their FA Youth Cup defeat to Derby County.

Toral moved to Arsenal in the summer from Barcelona.

While Toral's ego will be aching this morning from the defeat, so too will the 16-year-old's left eye having picked up a nasty looking injury during the match.

Toral, who was featuring alongside another summer recruit Hector Bellerin, has already featured in the reserve team for the Gunners, despite many of the regulars at the level being several years older.

The experience with older players has certainly helped. Toral, who's mother is English, brushed off the giant bruise above his eye and played on until the very end.
