Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury was outstanding on debut for West Ham United in their 4-3 win over Portsmouth.
The loan signing stepped into Scott Parker's boots with a man-of-the-match display for the Hammers.
"He was fantastic," said manager Sam Allardyce who signed him on-loan from Arsenal. "He has great technical ability and his quality shone out.
"He had a very exciting time at Norwich last season and like Kevin Nolan he has the experience of getting out of this division."
