Huddersfield boss Lee Clark is hopeful of extending the loan spell of young Arsenal striker Benik Afobe, reports Sporting Life. The 17-year-old England Under-19 international, who has netted three goals in five starts for the Terriers, is due to return to the Gunners following the League One clash with Dagenham on Saturday as his initial one-month stay expires.
Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner: "We've been in contact with Arsenal throughout Benik's stay, they've watched him and received all the DVDs and statistics from his displays, and I think they're pleased at the way things are going.
"Benik has enjoyed himself, we're very keen to keep him for longer, and the signs from Arsenal are hopeful."
