Arsenal won't qualify for the Champions League claims club legend Keown

Martin Keown has admitted that Arsenal will struggle to finish in the Champions League qualification places this season.

The Gunners are currently in sixth position on the Premier League standings and five points adrift of fourth placed Liverpool who occupy the last Champions League qualification spot.

Keown has admitted that he cannot see Arsenal finishing in the top four and believes that their only chance of playing in the Champions League next season is if they win the Europa League.

"They are going to have to do what Manchester United did (win the Europa League) in order to qualify for the Champions League," Keown told BT Sport.

"I don't see them making the top four, if you look now Liverpool are four or five points ahead of them, even Tottenham who are ahead of them are not guaranteed making that position."
