Arsenal winger Walcott: England desperate to start Euros with win

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott says England players are desperate to kick off their Euro2012 qualifying campaign on the right foot.

Walcott said the players are eager to get a result, both for the fans and their under-fire manager.

He said: "We want to get a win for the fans. They're tremendous support, just look at 70,000 plus against Hungary which is a brilliant achievement for us especially after the disappointment of the World Cup.

"The manager has got the faith in us, it's up to us to go out there and prove people wrong. He's got me back in the squad which shows he's got faith in me. We want to do it for him because he's our manager and he's got faith in us all."
