Arsenal winger Theo Walcott says the North London derby with Tottenham will come too soon for him.
England international Walcott has been sidelined since early January after damaging his cruciate ligament in Arsenal's FA Cup third round win over Spurs at the Emirates Stadium.
Reports had claimed that the winger could return to action when Arsenal play host to their north London rivals on September 27, but Walcott will not feature in the derby.
"I haven't put a specific date or looked at a game yet," Walcott told The Sun.
"There were rumours of me coming back for the Spurs game which is definitely not going to happen, that's for sure.
"I'm taking it week by week. It tends to fly by and it's not months anymore, which is a nice feeling."
