Arsenal winger Oxlade-Chamberlain steps up recovery

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has stepped up his recovery from knee injury.

The Daily Mail says Oxlade-Chamberlain has handed Arsenal and England a huge boost by starting running for the first time since sustaining a cruciate ligament injury.

The talented midfielder has been out of action since the first day of season after picking up a serious knee injury in a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

Chamberlain has made steady progress during his rehabilitation, with Arsenal medical chiefs careful not to rush him back.

The 20-year-old has this week recommenced running, which represents a key breakthrough on his road to recovery.
