Arsenal winger Oxlade-Chamberlain: Man Utd legend Keane right to hammer me

Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is proud to have Barcelona star Neymar's Brazilian shirt.

The Arsenal winger was blasted by Manchester United legend Roy Keane for swapping shirts with Neymar during England's 2-2 draw with Brazil in Rio last June.

Oxlade-Chamberlain came off the bench to score a brilliant goal - and was then caught on camera asking the rising star of world football to swap shirts while the game was still going on.

The 20-year-old said: "I've still got Neymar's shirt. It's in a drawer at home at the moment. It's not on ebay yet.

"Roy Keane hammered me for it. But I did ask him during the game. I did give him a little nudge. But I do agree with Roy. It's probably not the way to go about things.

"I didn't try to make it too blatant. It just happened that the camera panned right on me at the time I gave him a little nudge.

"I do agree with those comments though. It's not the ideal thing to be doing during a game. Even though it was a friendly it was still a big game for us so I'll hold my hands up.

"I'm not in awe of him. It's just a respect thing. Neymar is a similar age to me and I've got massive respect for what he's done in world football.

"But regardless of all that, Rio definitely whetted my appetite for the World Cup. I'm sure it did for the rest of the lads as well."
