Arsenal winger Oxlade-Chamberlain and England U21 pals inspired by Iraq War hero

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain admits he's been inspired after a speech from an Iraqi War hero.

Stuart Pearce sends his England Under-21 troops into battle against Iceland tonight - inspired by Corporal Simon Brown.

Simon, 32, was shot in the face saving six comrades in Iraq in 2006.

His left eye was destroyed and 90 per cent of the vision in his right.

He underwent more than 100 hours of surgery - and now works as a motivational speaker.

Oxlade-Chamberlain said: "It made me appreciate massively what I've got.

"The way he kept coming back fighting did make me think of what I have."
