Arsenal winger Gervinho confident finishing top of Champions League group

Arsenal attacker Gervinho feels they can qualify top of their Champions League group.

Arsenal, who have already qualified, must beat Olympiakos to stand a chance of finishing top and avoiding big-name clubs in the second stage.

Gervinho said: "Arsenal is a big club and we are used to facing big teams.

"We have a squad full of international players and have played many games like this. Anything is possible in football.

"Montpellier drew in Schalke so they can do it at home.

"I hope Olivier Giroud will make a few phone calls to the manager and his former team-mates to make sure they help us. More seriously, if Montpellier win and we don't it will be pointless anyway - so first of all we need to do our part.

"I believe anything can happen this season. There are teams who have won the trophy when no one expected it."
