Arsenal are making a £6 million bid for Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
The Daily Star says Birmingham are bracing themselves for bids from the Gunners, Fulham and Southampton after all three clubs checked out Butland's situation.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants a new goalkeeper to challenge No.1 Wojciech Szczesny.
Ideally he wants an experienced stopper but £6m-rated England keeper Butland, 19, has been on Wenger's radar for some time.
He has been alerted by the fact Birmingham may now be ready to cash in this month to ease their financial woes.
