Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is willing to go as high as £8 million for Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen.

The Mirror says an initial approach for the left-sided midfielder, 25, has already been knocked back by Ewood Park bosses.

But the Frenchman is prepared to go as high as £8million, even though Rovers boss Mark Hughes may prefer a cash plus player deal featuring midfielder Mathieu Flamini.
