Eintracht Frankfurt's Japan midfielder Takashi Inui is being watched by Arsenal.
The Daily Mail says Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley has watched the 24-year-old recently as he helps manager Arsene Wenger formulate a list of targets ahead of an expected summer spending spree.
Inui - capped six times by Japan - is a pacy, left-footed midfielder who is deployed as a playmaker or out wide.
Inui, who would join countryman Ryo Miyaichi should he complete a switch to the Emirates Stadium, has two years left on his contract having signed a three-year deal when he moved from Bochum in the summer.
This season he has scored six times, grabbed six more assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances.
