Arsenal watching Benfica attacker Goncalo Guedes

Arsenal are watching Benfica attacker Goncalo Guedes.

The Sun says Arsenal are keeping tabs on Guedes as fears over Man City target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain grow – but they'll be in a fight with super-spenders PSG for his signature.

History suggests Arsenal will not be able to stop City luring one of their stars away, so the Gunners sent a scout to Benfica's 1-0 win over Estoril on Saturday to spy on 20-year-old Guedes, who PSG are willing to pay around £27m for next month.

Guedes, 20, has scored two league goals and provided two assists so far this season to help Benfica to top of the table.
