Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor claims that he was very close to joining Italian giants AC Milan before his move to Manchester City from the Emirates club.
The ex-Gunners striker turned into a villian with the Arsenal faithful, with his famous celebration after scoring against Arsenal for Manchester City.
"Milan, I was close in 2008. I would have liked to play with legends like Kaka, Pirlo, Maldini and be coached by Ancelotti, but I did not do anything about it, but I stayed at Arsenal where I was fine," he said in an interview with Gianluca Di Marzio.
Adebayor eventually moved to the likes of Tottenham and Real Madrid during an interesting career.
