Arsenal made an attempt for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Daily Express says the Gunners tried to lure Southampton star Schneiderlin to the Emirates before being priced out of the move.
Arsene Wenger felt that the French midfielder was a perfect fit for the Gunners but was reluctant to follow up his interest after being told to cough up £15million.
