Chile U17 captain Marcelo Allende is on extended trials with Arsenal.

Allende is to train with the Gunners until September, reports Jeorge Bird's academy website.

He has traveled with Arsenal's U19 squad for a tournament in South Africa.

A Chilean youth international who has captained his country at U17 level, it remains to be seen whether Allende will be offered a professional deal by the Gunners.
