Reported Arsenal, Tottenham and Sunderland target Marouane Chamakh is in talks with a Swiss club according to the president of his current club.

Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud admits there is plenty of interest for the 25-year old striker but is hopeful he will remain in France.

"I have not spoken with any player about a move. Players need to respect their contracts," he told skysports.com.

"We want Marouane to sign a new contract with us, he knows that. We want to build a great team here, not sell our best players.

"Chamakh has not received any offer or enquiry by a big or small Premier League club.

"The only enquiry has come from a Swiss club."
