Arsenal told only "big money" will land Subotic

Arsenal have been told they can only sign Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic for "big money".

Belgian defender Thomas Vermaelen, who cost £10million, is Wenger's only summer signing so far and it looks as if Arsenal may be priced out of a move for the promising 20-year-old.

Everton are also said to be interested in a move for the towering centre-back.

Subotic's agent Stephen Kelly said: "He only recently signed a new five-year deal at Dortmund and it would take big money for any move to happen."
