Arsenal have announced their Emirates Stadium home is to undergo a redevelopment plan which will see the creation of a new private members' club named The Avenell Club, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
Named after the road of their former Highbury stadium, the plans shape the second phase of the redevelopment of Club Level – the club's premium area for club supporters.
The new club will feature panoramic views of the pitch, as well as a live-action chef station and a feature cocktail bar, with work set to begin in summer 2019.
Two existing Club Level venues, Champions Bar and The Highbury Suite, will also undergo transformations in the summer to improve the hospitality experience for fans.
Managing director Vinai Venkatesham said: "We have been at Emirates Stadium for 12 years now and have recently seen a change in what some fans want in our premium areas. This involves supporters wanting more open and informal hospitality experiences and this project is responding to that demand."
Arsenal also announced that stadium capacity will rise following further work to the seating within the Club Level tier, which originally began this summer.
