Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is delighted with his club's signing of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United.
The Gunners have secured the French right-back on a long-term deal for a reported fee of £12million which has Wenger excited ahead of the 2014/15 Premier League season.
"We are delighted to welcome Mathieu Debuchy to Arsenal Football Club," said Wenger.
"He has shown he can perform at the highest level with his club sides and also for France. He is a quality defender who has good Premier League experience and I'm confident he will fit in very well with us."
Former Lille star 28-year old Debuchy joins the Gunners after making 46 appearances for the Magpies in 18 months at St James' Park. He has also represented France on 25 occasions.
