Arsenal are ready to launch a bid for Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy.
The Sunday Mirror says Arsenal are set to test Wigan's resolve with an £8million move for 22-year-old midfielder McCarthy.
Liverpool and Everton are also big fans, but Wigan will fight hard to keep the Republic of Ireland star until the summer.
