Arsenal target looked to be the leading contenders to secure the Brazil international Felipe Melo but the Fiorentina midfielder now looks set for Juventus. However, reports emanating from Italy claim Melo is Juve-bound, and president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has intimated the Old Lady are presently tying up a reported £21million agreement.

"Melo is not yet a Juve player," said Cobolli Gigli to Gazzetta dello Sport. "The negotiations are still ongoing.

"We still need to define certain terms to officially confirm his signing."
