Arsenal target Benzema indicates Real Madrid stay

Karim Benzema has made the clearest indication yet that he will remain with Real Madrid next season.

The France international has been heavily linked with a summer move to Arsenal but his latest comments suggest he will still be at the Santiago Bernabeu at least for the 2011/12 season.

"I do not think Real Madrid want to sell. (Jose) Mourinho is confident in me,” he told Marca.

"Next season you will see the best from Benzema."

Benzema scored 15 La Liga goals in 33 appearances for Los Blancos this season – his second in Madrid since joining from Olympique Lyonnais in July 2009.

am a proud gunner fun and a disapointed one too...wenger please do something, there is no way a term can have only one dependeable striker.arsenal lack consistency, you know why?bcos the term is just full of young stars who will end up staying at the end of the day if you are waiting for them to take arsenal to high hights.it time to buy new players, and please!!!!! keep cesc fabrigas.

It's a shame that Wenger did not hire Benzema at the beginning of the season.
Now the Special-José will never let Benzema go to Arsenal...he's too talented to sell him to teams Real-Madrid will face in the champions league.

it was never happening. Wenger is just gonna get another cheap young striker and defender.
