Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is facing a defensive crisis with Alex Song set to be called into Cameroon's African Nations Cup squad.

Wenger has been secretly grooming the midfielder to step into the back four while Kolo Toure is on international duty for the Ivory Coast in the African Nations Cup, says the Daily Express.

But Wenger may now lose Song to the tournament if the youngster is called into the Cameroon squad by coach Otto Pfister.
