Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is set to return to France in January.

Calciomercato.com says Sanogo is a transfer target for Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne.

The French striker is yet to appear for the Gunners in this campaign and is seemingly surplus to requirements at the Emirates.

Saint-Etienne could take the former Auxerre striker in January on loan until the end of the season.

Saint-Etienne currently lie in ninth place in the league, with just 11 goals scored.
