Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has opened up about his off-field controversies.
Giroud has been battling to keep his family together after photos surfaced on social media in February.
A month on and Giroud told L'Equipe: "There were things that were true, others were false. But that's the past. Anything that does not kill me makes me stronger. I am convinced that everything that's happened lately will make me stronger. It's going to take me ten years to get it out of my head.
"I will also go out stronger on the ground. Whenever I had to respond on the ground, I said this. That's all I have to do: focus on the field for my club and take care of my family."
Giroud also paid tribute to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and France coach Didier Deschamps for helping him through the saga.
"It was difficult to live with. You must be strong in the head. I used the pitch as an outlet. The contribution of the coach was very important. I could talk with him, as I have done with the France coach. It's good that there was a dialogue.
"Now I want to forget it, to move on and make a fresh start."
