Olivier Giroud says he's outshone Robin van Persie at Arsenal in his first season in England.
The French striker, 26, has scored 14 goals in 33 games in all competitions so far in his debut campaign in England, which is four more than Van Persie managed in 41 appearances in 2004-05.
Dutchman Van Persie, now at Manchester United, was only 21 during his first season at Arsenal and spent most of it playing out wide, but Giroud told reporters in France he is happy with his start to life in England.
"I do not know of an attacker who is not interested in his numbers," the former Montpellier man told L'Equipe.
"Since the beginning of the season, I registered 14 goals and given 11 assists.
"For the first season... It's better than the beginning Van Persie had, even though when he arrived at Arsenal, he was younger."
