Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud took great delight from his goal for France in their 1-1 draw with Spain.

The Arsenal striker came off the bench to head in as France became the first side to take a point off Spain in a qualifier since 2007.

Giroud said: "We silenced certain critics. It was a real pleasure to be able to respond on the pitch."
