Arsenal's forgotten man Joel Campbell is set to end his difficult spell with the Gunners by securing a move away from the Emirates.
Campbell joined Arsenal in 2011 but has since failed to make any impression in the Gunners starting eleven and has endured several loan spells away, including a four-month stint in Spain with Villarreal last term.
Initially it was believed that Real Sociedad were favourites to land the Costa Rican but Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Palermo president Mauricio Zamparini is currently in London discussing terms with Arsenal officials over a transfer to the Italians.
The deal for Campbell, which is expected to be a season-long loan, will be completed very shortly as Arsenal look to prepare for Sunday's Community Shield match with Chelsea.
