Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has targeted their clash with Bolton Wanderers as his comeback game.
The Denmark international has been struggling for a couple of months after being forced to undergo a hernia operation.
Bendtner had hoped to pull on a Gunners shirt again before the turn of the year but suffered a couple of setbacks.
However, he is now making good progress and believes he could be available for selection in time for the trip to Bolton later this month.
"Tomorrow (Tuesday) I hope to start training with the ball, and the fun will begin," the 21-year-old told Sporten.dk.
"I hope to be able to make my comeback against Bolton on January 17th, the day after my birthday.
"That would be the best gift I could give myself. At least it is my personal goal, so now we will see."
